B Bartok of Illinois wrote a loving tribute to his Uncle Steve Bartok shortly after Steve’s death in 1996. B’s reminiscent lyrics and soft flowing guitar rhythm make this song a joy to listen to and his other tunes a have a reminiscent flavor as he sings of old flames and personal journeys.

Hanna Hickok of the United States is an incredible talent. Hanna’s soft melodic voice and soft touch on the guitar produces an angelic sound that deserves to be sold to the masses and not just on YouTube.

The sounds of a harp, an acoustic bass and a djembe drum greeted people as they arrived, as representatives from the Mayors office, the Mi’kmaq community, and the many Faiths that are represented in the Halifax region gathered to celebrate World Religion Day 2009.
